We drove through the eastern outskirts of the Los Angeles suburbs before heading up Highway 395. We stopped a few times along the way for meals and met some of the locals too. They provided some handy travel tips like 'Highway 395 is one of the most dangerous in the country' and 'Watch out for Indians.' Nothing like some terrifying advice.
Eventually we made it to Mammoth, and before the sun even went down (a rarity so far). We wandered through town, did some shopping and visited Slocums Bar before getting an early night in advance of tomorrow.
