Seattle, Washington, United States of America (2)

Since it's my last night in Seattle I feel as though I should give you a run down of all the activities I've been up to. I should tell you about the two big runs I finished, the many many pubs and restaurants I visited, the Experience Music Project, the Underground Tour, the walks around town, several visits to Kerry Park, discovering Queen Anne and Capitol Hill, the Australian Connection, walks around town, Gas Works, Pioneer Square, copious amounts of rain, Easy Street Records, and several other random events. I should tell you about those but it's late so I will show most of that in photos instead.

Start heading for home tomorrow. See you soon.

Seattle, Washington, United States of America

I am back in Seattle for the third time this month. But this time I actually plan on spending more than 3 hours in the airport.

This morning, Dana (my friend from ND) & I piled in the car at 7am and headed for the west coast as fast as we could. We did a great job at making good time despite some interesting mountain passes but we started getting distracted by the surroundings after passing through central Washington.

This is Dana's first ever trip to the Pacific Northwest so she is quickly getting acclimatized to the surroundings (rain). When we arrived in Seattle, via a slight detour due to my insistence on not using a map, we heading down to Pike Place Market. There is a hidden brewery in the market that makes it's own amazing beer and the most fantastic nachos I've tasted so far in my days. This visit resulted in some over-over-indulging and some difficulties walking afterwards. None-the-less we soldiered on in the rain and wandered around downtown until we were completely drenched.

Tomorrow is a new day, and our jackets will be dry by then for the next round of wandering.

Whitefish, Montana, United States of America (2)

Ahhh, 4 days of relaxation. I can't remember the last time I've taken that long to recuperate. And I know what you're thinking, you didn't really rest. And yes, I did run 20km, go skiing, go shopping, etc, etc. But really that counts as R & R for me. Here's some photos from the last few days.

We met creepy Santa

Opened some presents

Rylen got a craft table

Jae got a new computer

Max got to continue being cute

And we took a family photo (thanks Donna!)

Next on this mini-odyssey is a journey to Seattle with my friend from the northerly Dakota, Dana. Fingers crossed we make it through the mountains twice.

Whitefish, Montana, United States of America

I'm regularly amazed by my own life. I just finished a a 3 day stretch that I would consider to be normal. After finishing my greatest round of golf so far, I ate dinner on Cannery Row, went to bed, woke up and ran along the ocean, drove along the coast, flew to Seattle then Whitefish, went to bed, woke up and went skiing, went for pizza at Mooses, and decorated the Christmas tree. So within 3 days, I golfed and skied, visited 3 different non-adjoining states, ran 19km, and hung out with my family. Here's some photographic evidence. Enjoy.
