"What did you do today?"
"Went for a walk"
"That's it?"
"Yup"

That conversation didn't really happen but does represent a generalization of my day. I went on a giant walk today which roughly followed this route. I zig-zagged all over the place and experienced these things:
-a place so dodgy that it was safer to walk down the middle of the street than the sidewalks
-farmers market
-City Hall
-countless awesome neighborhoods
-a massive church
-Alamo Square
-Panhandle Park
-Golden Gate Park (bigger than Central Park)
-walked in the Pacific Ocean (it's cold)
-Lands End Park
-Presidio
-China Beach, Baker Beach, Ocean Beach
-Torpedo Wharf
-Exploratorium
-Fillmore Street
-Japantown
-Union Square
